“ Hidden gem. Great happy hour. 1/2 off drafts, bygo 1/2 off apps. The wings were perfect. Fell right off the bone. Dry rub tasted like a kind of brown sugar Sriracha. The blue cheese was an excellent consistency. As a lover of blue cheese I'm very impressed. The barrel rolls are incredible. Honestly, I would have preferred them a bit hotter but everything about them was tasty, tasty including the slaw and sauce. The place picked up pretty quick on a snowy day but the bartender didn't flinch. She was incredibly amiable and welcoming. Just happened to pop in for a snack but I'll be back to commit to the menu. ”

“ My biggest regret was that I did not visit sooner. Richmond is sleeping on this place. I had heard the cocktail program here was impressive, and expected as much—and it was—but my entree here was one of the best I’ve had in months. After bar hopping and having appetizers and sharing an entree at another restaurant, I ordered the pork ribeye with grits and collard greens. I am usually more of a beef or lamb person, but I was intrigued by the pork and the bartender assured me it was among the better menu options. In all seriousness the that dish was one of the best pork dishes I have ever had. The service was exceptional. Randall, the bartender, was amazing and very personable. Ordered two cocktails on his recommendation. Atmosphere was great. Beautiful and classy inside. If I hadn’t had apps and other drinks elsewhere I’d definitely tried other dishes and drinks. The Oaxacan Old Fashioned and Wabbit Season were well crafted and balanced. Can’t wait to return. ”

“ Neat little spot, they have daily specials, so I had to try it. Sunday night is 1 LB Ribs + a side + cornbread. The ribs were very tender, I definitely enjoyed them. Personally I REALLY liked the dry rub better but the sauce was good as well. Fries are solid, nice crunch and substance. Also had a hint of sweetness. Cornbread wasn't the most flavorful thing, though the texture isn't bad, moist and not too crumbly I will definitely come back to try other items here. Also they have a sink OUTSIDE the bathroom which is super nice because a lot of people just want to wash their hands so, that's a plus in my book. Service was really good when I came. You can get the ribs with either sauce or a dry rub, and the waitress could tell I wanted to try both(despite me choosing the dry rub) and she came back to help me out with that. (if you get a server named Fantasia, you are in good hands!) ”

“ We found our new favorite place to dine! We walked in for our reservation and we were immediately greeted and seated. The dining area is modern yet comfortable. We started with the southwest nachos. They were loaded and perfectly plated. Every nacho had toppings and there was no fighting over the best chips. I got the pineapple fizz cocktail and my husband tried an old fashioned. Both cocktails were delicious and flavorful. For entrees, I got the duck breast which was perfectly cooked. The hash on the side was creative and delicious. The portion was large. My husband got the steak which was served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. My husband cleared the plate and truly enjoyed his entree. The steak was cooked perfectly. We got a second round of cocktails which were also unique. I love how curated the menu is. You can tell how much thought and care was put into every single item on the menu. Our server, Savannah, was wonderful and attentive. After our meal we chatted with one of the owners as well as the bartender. Everyone made us feel incredibly welcomed. We had such a great experience and we will definitely be back! ”

“ Just dined at Smoke and Barrel for the first time but we will definitely be back. We don't typically go out on Valentine's Day but the three course menu made service efficient and the food was incredible. My husband had two Old Fashions which were unlike any Old Fashion he had ever had in the best way. I ordered the wine paring that did not disappoint. We are looking forward to going back for brunch sometime soon! ”

“ First time here, but not the last! Food and service were great! We shared the fried pickles and then I had the buffalo cauliflower tacos while my husband had the fried chicken sandwich. All of the food was great. The french fries were out of this world.. crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside with delicious seasoning! ”

“ I had my graduation dinner and hosted ( 23 Adults and 5 young ones).I can say that it was the best decision ever. The food was great, the customer service was excellent and the wait staff was wonderful enough to get some flowers for the tables at no extra cost.Despite running late , we were not rushed out. The communication and flexibility on the menu change was just excellent. Will definitely make it a top spot for me. You will not be dissapointed. Thank you for making my day memorable with the excellent service and great food. ”

“ What a great place for casual dinning. Our server was extremely attentive and patient with our group of 5. The food was very tasty. We had the Smoke and Barrel Burger, The pasta, and the spring rolls. Everything was very juicy and well seasoned. Highly recommended ”
